HEATHER L. KIRK
Owner + Principal Designer
A Southern California native, Heather studied Business Administration at Cal State University Long Beach before completing her design education at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising/FIDM with a degree in Interior Design. After gaining experience working on some high-profile projects, Heather ventured out on her own and in 2004 founded Kirk Riley Design.
Specializing in vintage residential renovations, Heather strives for the long life of remodeled spaces and uses color, pattern and a creative mix of materials to create award-winning designs. She works on whole home projects, kitchen and bath remodels, and custom furnishings. When it comes to the kitchen, she loves selecting appliances. “It’s like buying small cars - shiny with cool features.”
Heather has remodeled homes in and around Seattle, the Puget Sound region, and Southern California. Her work has been featured in magazines and television, both locally and nationally. She is a member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
A self proclaimed Design Nerd, Heather's love of design has extended to her West Seattle 1940's cottage-style home where she lives with her family, including her beloved rescue mutts.
Jenny
Associate Designer
Our other Southern California transplant, Jenny brings a distinctive blend of business insight and creativity to her role at Kirk Riley Design. Her keen eye for detail, influenced by her love for all things vintage, adds a unique charm and character to her design choices. Jenny’s passion for collaboration with both Heather and our wonderful clients shines through in every project, making her an invaluable member of our team.
Outside of work, Jenny is an avid vintage enthusiast, finding joy in the charm and history or bygone eras. She treasures her time with family, whether exploring the Pacific Northwest or visiting loved ones in Southern California.

Her ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a clear focus on the big picture makes her an indispensable part of the team.
When she’s not managing the business, Roxann is a proud mom to two boys and loves spending quality time with her family, whether on vacation or enjoying a BBQ at home. A dedicated vinophile, she loves exploring new vintages and sharing her favorites with family and friends.
“Heather immediately understood I had a distinct design style and she always presented choices that would fit in with my taste and palette. The tiles she chose for our bathroom remodel look fresh and contemporary yet fit right in with my mid-century-aspiring-to-minimalism aesthetic. I look forward to more projects with Kirk Riley Design.”
